Microsoft has released version 3.0.5 of the SDK.
Version 3.0.5 of the SDK includes new sample code, consolidated attribute information, topic enhancements, and bug fixes.
The Programming Reference in the Server Programming Guide now contains detailed attribute information for all exposed entities. Nearly 4000 reference topics have been updated, eliminating the need to view attribute information in the Metadata Browser and the Customizations area of the Web application. In addition, the state and status code enumerations now provide mapping information.
In the Sample Code section, you'll find new samples that show you how to:
Convert a dynamic entity to a core entity
Work with lookup form controls
Retrieve the state and status codes
Find the entity instance ID of a record for use in SDK methods and messages
The Security Roles and Privileges Appendix has a new section that contains detailed privilege information for the nearly 200 messages supported in the SDK. This section, which lists privileges by message, allows you to determine exactly which privileges are needed for each operation you can perform.
In the Client Programming Guide, you'll find information on how to access the Microsoft CRM Web services from your custom scripts.
